In some cases, we ask for specific experience or qualifications but will often consider candidates who don’t have direct experience but do have transferable skills and the right values and behaviours.
We offer a variety of apprenticeship opportunities across the organisation including our Repairs, Customer Services, and Housing Management teams. We visit local schools and attend apprenticeship events throughout the year and usually advertise vacancies between May and August.
Step up to work
If you live within East Surrey and have been unemployed for 3 months or more, you can apply to join our Step Up to Work programme. This is a paid work placement with Raven for 12 months to help you build up skills and experience. Many of our placements go on to permanent jobs with Raven or other organisations.
Our Employment team provides employability support to Raven customers and those in our communities, which includes group workshops and training, guidance on CVs and interview skills, and help with securing volunteering and work experience opportunities – some of which are with Raven or other local organisations.
