We’re always looking at ways to help you maintain your home, which includes the condition of your home and garden, if you have one. We do understand that sometimes keeping your home clear and tidy can get too much, especially if physical or mental health issues are involved.

If you’re concerned that you, or someone you know, may have an issue with hoarding or clutter, see this Hoarding Clutter Rating as a useful indicator.

Although the upkeep of your home and garden is your responsibility and a condition of your tenancy, if you’re unable to manage this, there are ways we may be able to help, such as:

  • Through our enhanced support service (known as SOS)
  • We have a number of partner agencies who can help if your home is very cluttered
  • We can help you get other assistance if you think your home may be cluttered or hoarded, as long as you acknowledge that you need our help.

We understand that hoarding is an extremely complex condition that is unique to each person and can have a huge impact on people’s lives and those around them. The sooner help is sought, the easier the situation is to manage.
