October half term free and low cost activity round up!
With October half term just around the corner and Halloween fast approaching, we’ve rounded up a selection of free and low cost local events and activities to keep the kids entertained. From spooky celebrations to non-Halloween fun, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Dorkers’ Spooktacular Halloween hunt
Back for another year in Dorking town centre is the free spooky trail. You can pick up an entry form at S C Fuller in South Street or download from friendsofdorking.org from Friday 24th October.
Halloween wizards and witches at Gatton Park
On Sunday 26th October from 12-5pm there will be lots of Halloween activities and a spooky trail around the grounds of Gatton Park. Ideal for younger children. Online booking required here.
A week of activities at The Belfry in Redhill
There are Halloween-themed activities at The Belfry shopping centre from Monday 27th – Friday 31st October. Find out more here.
Monster mayhem in Caterham
On Thursday 30th and Friday 31st October from 10am – 3pm join the free trail that starts at Church Walk shopping centre. Help Wendy the witch round up her missing monsters and rescue Halloween! Find out more here.
Free Halloween fun at Merstham Hub
On Thursday 30th October from 2-4pm, there will be cupcake decorating, creepy crafts and a colouring competition happening at Merstham Hub. Find out more here.
Spooktacular Halloween disco at Woodhatch Community Centre
On Thursday 30th October from 4:30-6:30pm there will be a spooky disco for little ghouls, ghosts, witches and wizards aged 3-11 years. Fancy dress welcome – with a prize for best dressed! Tickets need to be booked here.
Merland Rise Church light party
If Halloween isn’t your thing then join in the light party on Friday 31st October from 5:15-6:30pm. Ideal for primary school aged children, the evening will be full of music, games, slime, hot dogs and fun. Superhero costumes welcome! Book your tickets here.
St Luke’s Church Reigate – The alternative
Again for those who aren’t keen on Halloween, this fun party is packed with activities to keep the children entertained on Friday 31st October. There will be an inflatable assault course, table football, table tennis, mini golf and more. Two sessions: 4-6pm for 6-10 year olds and 6:15-8:30pm for aged 10 and over. Book your tickets here.
