Introducing new sensor technology to tackle damp and mould

We’re committed to providing safe, comfortable, and energy efficient homes for our customers. As part of that commitment – and in preparation for Awaab’s Law, which comes into effect this October – we’ve launched a trial of Vericon sensor technology in ten homes that have experienced damp and mould issues.

Why we’re introducing this technology

Damp and mould can have a serious impact on your health, comfort, and wellbeing. Addressing these issues is one of our top priorities and this includes helping you to prevent damp and mould from arising in the first place. This trial is just one example of how we’re working proactively to improve the condition of our homes and keep our customers safe.

What are the sensors?

We’re installing Vericon sensor technology in selected homes as part of this trial. These small, smart devices monitor key environmental factors, including:

  • Temperature
  • Humidity
  • Air quality

With this information, we can:

  • Spot signs of damp and mould early, before they become serious problems
  • Improve the performance of your heating system, helping to reduce your energy bills
  • Enhance your living environment, supporting better health and comfort

Please be assured that information collected through these sensors is stored securely and they don’t record or monitor any personal activities.
