Raven Housing Trust spread Christmas cheer

Surrey and Sussex residents will next week start receiving Christmas gifts donated by staff
at Raven Housing Trust.

As a community-based housing provider, Raven know just how difficult it will be for some
local families this Christmas. To try to bring some Christmas cheer to those most affected by
the current cost of living crisis, staff have been generously donating gift items to be
distributed in time for Christmas.

A team of ‘Santa’s Helpers’ spent the morning earlier this week at Raven’s Redhill office
sorting and wrapping gifts such as toiletries, warm clothes, toys and chocolate ready to
deliver to local residents.

Lucy Jefferies, Income and Homeownership Manager, who led Raven’s team of Santa’s
Helpers, said:

“Christmas can be a really difficult time for some households, and with
increasing financial pressures, we know that a lot of people in our communities are feeling
the pinch this year. We wanted to make sure as many of our residents celebrating this year
have something to open on Christmas morning. We’re really grateful to Raven staff who
donated over 100 presents, and we want to thank everyone that’s been involved in this
community gifting campaign.”
