Raven creates new co-working business centre in Redhill
Raven Housing Trust has announced a partnership with an organisation called CoTribe.
“CoTribe are helping us to provide a vibrant space at our headquarters for entrepreneurs, freelancers, contractors and small businesses in Redhill and Reigate,” explained Nigel Newman, Raven’s director of Strategy and Growth.
“This venture is part of our commercial strategy to develop new revenue streams for Raven, which in turn will enable us to provide more affordable homes in the region.
“The new co-working spaces at Raven House have everything business people need, including superfast WIFI, parking spaces, meeting rooms, 24/7 access and we are just a five-minute walk from Redhill town centre and train station.”
Raven’s offer will include hot desks, fixed desks and fixed offices.
Nigel added: “Our hope is that we can create a vibrant community of small companies where Raven can play a part in their development. We also hope that this will open the door to new collaborative commercial relationships. We already have about four firms ready to relocate.”
One of the first people to move in is David Ross, a freelance website management consultant and active member of the local business community. His company, David Ross Digital, is transferring to the Redhill office from Gatwick.
He commented: “The new CoTribe office in Raven House will be a huge asset to freelance and small business community of Redhill and Reigate. Working as a remote worker or freelancer can be a solitary lifestyle. Affordable co-working spaces like CoTribe become important hubs for small businesses, where we can come together, support each other and do business together.”
“Where CoTribe stands out is in its focus on community. The support offered has been instrumental in getting my business off the ground. Now I am part of that community and offering my support to new business people just starting out.”
CEO of CoTribe, Aamar Hussain said: “We’re pleased to be working with Raven to create an Innovation Hub for start-ups. Our vision is to promote entrepreneurship in the local area and help as many people as possible to contribute to an innovation, driven Britain.”
Raven’s new co-working centre will be open for business from February 4 and the association is asking people to pre-register online at https://www.cotribe.co.uk/redhill
