Peter Dean, Chair of Raven Repairs (Raven Housing Group’s commercial subsidiary)

Peter has over 30 years’ experience in the financial services, health and third sectors. His wide experience includes time as Managing Director of Hampshire Economic Partnership and senior positions at AMEX in the Middle East. Most recently he was the Commercial Director and Trustee at Wessex Archaeology Ltd.

Skills area: Board level expertise in the public, private and charity sectors

Vic O’Brien, Chair of Raven Development Homes (Raven Build for Sale Subsidiary)

Vic commenced his career in housing in 1984 after obtaining a Masters Degree at the Centre of Urban and Regional Studies at the University of Birmingham. He moved to London in the late 80s to commence a career in housing association development.

Over the last 25 years he has led housing association development teams in London and the South West. For 10 years he was the Group Development Director at GreenSquare Housing Group where he led the expansion of GreenSquare’s development programme from a low base to a programme of 400 homes per annum. He led the implementation of a significant outright sale programme and the creation of an in house construction company with a £20m turnover.

Vic is presently the Partnership Director of Heylo Housing which is a company backed by a pension fund which invests in affordable housing. Vic is also the chair of the Place Shaping group and Board member of the Swindon and Wiltshire Local Enterprise Partnership and a mentor for the Housing Diversity Network. In 2013 Vic became a Churchill Fellow following his study of the affordable housing funding system in the USA. Vic is a regular speaker at NHF and CIH events.

Oshin Cassidy, Co-optee Remuneration and Nomination Committee

Oshin Cassidy joined in December as a Co-optee to the Remuneration Committee. With a wealth of professional HR experience covering a range of industries, from public sector in the NHS, to the service sector with ComFortDelGro and Securitas. More recently, Oshin has moved into the technology sector, completing a period with QinetiQ and now working with Imagination Technologies. Oshin has advised on remuneration strategy, supported the implementation of flexible benefits and undertaken annual pay reviews.

Her key skills and areas of expertise include organisational design and change management, strategic HR with delivery models that operationally support the people agenda and enhance the achievement of goals and objectives
