SOS - Sheltered Outreach Services

Raven's Sheltered Outreach Service (SOS) for people aged over 60 is being expanded due to its tremendous success.

The service supports people to continue to live independently in their own

homes by offering extra support and linking them to Raven's existing sheltered schemes. Read our leaflet to find out more.

The support includes a phone call every week day and a weekly visit from one of Raven's sheltered housing officers. People will also get information about other services; including social care, health care and local groups and will be able to join events and activities held at our sheltered schemes.

Claire Motler, sheltered housing manager, explains: "This service is designed to help people who wish to continue living independently but may need a bit of extra support. Raven has a superb track record of providing the highest quality services to older people and we hope this scheme will continue to offer reassurance and continued independence for residents and their families."

To be eligible the applicant has to have a support need and be in receipt of housing benefit.  However if you are not eligible for housing benefit and would be interested in paying for the service please do contact us on 0300 123 3399 to discuss. Watch them in action:

“The SOS service is very good and Raven’s team are really pleasant and easy to talk to. I would recommend this service for anyone living on their own as it makes you feel more secure knowing that there is someone at the end of a phone if you need help.”Mrs Nicholls, Tadworth

“This SOS service is blooming marvellous! It’s so good to know there is someone there. It’s terrific, no argument about it!" - Mr Dulley, Tadworth
