About Raven

Building new homes

Raven has an active development programme aimed at building and acquiring 500 new homes by 2014. To achieve this we aim to:

  • develop homes on land we own
  • develop homes on land brought from private owners, local authorities and other public bodies
  • work with developers where there is a planning requirement to provide affordable housing
  • secure Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) and other funding
  • work with local councils and other key stakeholders including residents and tenants to identify housing need and the right solutions for a particular area

We aim for excellence in our developments by:

  • developing good quality homes that offer value for money
  • are homes our residents are proud to live in and meet their needs and aspirations
  • are sustainable and cost effective in terms of their management and maintenance
  • meet the aspirations of our colleagues in other teams
  • are built sensitively have regard to neighbourhoods in which we are building
  • have minimal defects.
