 Green Award

Know someone who is going the extra mile to help the environment? Then nominate them for a Raven Green Award.

We want to recognise those individuals or groups who are going that extra mile! If you know someone who is working hard to reduce their impact on the environment then why not nominate them?

Some examples of ‘going the extra mile’ include:

• Encouraging others to recycle more.

• Getting involved in a local ecoteam.

• Walking, cycling, taking the train or the bus to work or on the school run.

• Growing your own food.

• Turning your garden or communal area into a wildlife haven.

• Helping to reduce litter, dog fouling, graffiti or fly tipping.

Nominations can be for an individual or a group. Please send your entries to Claire Lipop, sustainability manager at Raven, or email environment@ravenht.org.uk.

Awards will be given out two years.

Environment Group

Raven has an environment group to design and support new environmental projects to support residents, communities and the organisation. This multi-disciplinary ‘green team’ consists of residents and individuals from most Raven departments. The Environment Group is a great way to meet new people and help to work with Raven to enhance your community. We are seeking to bring in new members to the group, so contact Claire Lipop on 01737 272550 if you would like to join!

Ecoteams

Join a local ecoteam or set up your own to meet new people and share ideas on reducing your energy/water consumption, recycling and money.

Ecoteamsters!

Everyone knows it's hard to do things on your own, and being green is no exception. But EcoTeams are here to help! These are small groups of people who join together to help each other be greener. They are a sociable, easy way to make a difference.  If you would like to join a team please visit www.ecoteams.org.uk

Spread the good word of your hard work and be an Eco Champion in your neighbourhood!
