Residents and Homeowners

Anti-social behaviour and hate crime

We want you and your neighbours to be able to enjoy the peace, quiet and safety of your home, without the interference from others. Disputes between neighbours can be upsetting and have a negative impact on the quality of your life. Therefore Raven will try to help resolve disputes between neighbours.

Where possible we encourage neighbours to talk to each other to try to solve the problem amicably.  If this doesn’t work, contact your community housing manager who will try to help. They can be contacted on 01737 272 400.

You can report incidents online or report these to the police.  Please click here for more information and our online reporting form.

We have published a leaflet on solving neighbour disputes, which includes a checklist for tackling nuisance and similar issues. Click on the following links to download information:

Here are a few common questions that may be helpful:

Q: Why can't CCTV be introduced on estates?

Sometimes cameras can be an invasion of privacy and don't actually produce very clear images, particularly at night. Therefore we tend not to use them.

Q: Is a tenant able to view a complaint that has been made against them?

If the complaint is logged on our 'Prowide' system, then the alleged perpetrator will receive a letter but will not be told who made the complaint.

Q: How long does it take for Raven to get a possession order (to evict a tenant)?

It takes 6-9 months to take a tenant to court and a further 6-9 months for a possible eviction order once an order is breached.

Q: Where does the money come from to pay for court costs?

The money comes from rents - if Raven wins a case we get court costs.
