Raven has won the contract to run four youth services in Reigate and Banstead, following Surrey County Council's tendering of its youth services.Raven will run clubs and outreach services for young people in Banstead, Horley, Merstham and Preston, with a satellite service in Woodhatch, Reigate from 1 April 2012.
Angela Ellis, Raven's head of community investment explains: "We are delighted to be the organisation chosen to run these services, building on our well-respected work with young people and the strong partnerships we have with local organisations.
"Raven's vision is to invest in homes and neighbourhoods to develop local communities where people want to live. These centres are at the heart of the areas where we work, and we are looking forward to developing them with local young people, providing activities and access to services that they want and need."
Youth centres will target specific groups of young people, be accessible to all and engage young people not in education, employment or training or who are entering the youth justice system.
Last year, Raven was shortlisted for a TPAS (Tenants Participation Advisory Service) award for its fledgling youth services and is part of the Redhill Youth Consortium which opened Redhill youth club in September.
