Raven’s ecohouse microsite wins silver at PR awards

14 November 2011

Raven's microsite featuring the Merstham Ecohouse project, launched earlier this year, has won silver at the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) PRide Awards.

The site, www.ravenht.org.uk/ecohouse, was shortlisted in the "Best website or microsite" category for the Home Counties South area.

The PRide Awards is the only awards scheme which showcases the best PR work being carried out across the UK regions and nations. There were in excess of 1,000 entries to this year's awards.

Raven's Merstham Eco-Makeover Project set out to transform an ordinary house in Merstham, Surrey into a highly energy-efficient home - while the six-person family still lived there. We fitted a range of technologies, trialling what might work in the future.

Sue Lea, Raven's communications officer, explained: "The microsite is our way of bringing the retrofit project to a wider audience by communicating it online in a highly

interactive way. It visually profiles all the energy and water saving technologies, highlighting a unique and innovative element of the project, namely the linking of

solar thermal panels with a ground source heat pump, and provides tips and advice for people wanting to replicate part or all of the project.

We are delighted that the site has been recognised at these awards, which showcase communications campaigns that have impact and value."
