Community Day 2017

This is a reminder that our offices are closed on Thursday 7th September for our company-wide community day. Please contact us on 0300 123 3399 in emergencies only and follow the instructions.

On Thursday 7th September, all Raven staff will be participating in our annual community day with activities scattered throughout Surrey and Sussex. These activities will support charities and help to strengthen the bond we have with our communities. This is also an opportunity to explore how we've 'Changed Lives'.

These activities are part of our 15-years anniversary celebrations and we're taking part in 15 community projects (one for each year since our conception). No doubt it's going to be a busy day!

Activites this year include:

Get your knits out

Staff will be working with East Surrey Hospital to make blankets for premature babies. An opportunity to learn a new skill for some, and to show off for others!

Shake your booty at Stripey Stork

Staff will be helping to sort vital donations of baby and children's equipment for families in need in Redhill with Stripey Stork.

Time to help at the YMCA

18 Green fingered staff will be helping YMCA East Surrey with their garden allotments, to tidy, plant and build sheds.

That's how we roll

We will be working with the Amber Foundation near Dorking to support them with decorating a support centre. The Amber Foundation help young people to transform their lives.

Just like new

Staff will be cleaning furniture and equipment to be delivered to Generation Church. Generation Church seeks furniture and homewares to donate to people so they can make their house feel more like a home.

Dig the difference

We're working with Active Prospects to help them improve their garden spaces and working spaces in Redhill. From building sheds to planting! Active Prospects support people with both physical and mental disabilities lead independent lives.

Making learning fun

Interested in gardening? Our staff will be getting their hands dirty to tidy up unloved garden spaces. They will be working to create great outdoor learning environments to be enjoyed by children and families together. With Red Oaks Children Centre.

A clean sweep 

Raven staff will be involved in two projects at our Temporary Accommodation schemes to improve garden spaces for residents. The schemes are Chavecroft and Coniston. 

Loving the odd job

Two projects - one with WellCare and the other with ESRA, both to improve their office space. Anything from painting, cleaning to DIY.

Buckle my shoe, 32

Breakfast Bingo! Staff will join residents for bingo at one of our Sheltered Accommodation schemes at Silvermere in Redhill.

Sparkling clean

It wouldn't be a community day without some community cleaning! Staff will help to tidy up our estates. We're going for a record 15 block clean and shrub bed replacement.

Our offices will reopen on Friday 8th September at 8.00am
